Fasting could have a powerful and positive effect on our Circadian Rhythm.

Stuck in the throws of the torpor of tryptophan from binging on turkey on Thanksgiving? 

Have you lost track of time, cannot put your smartphone away for the night, feeling sluggish and/or perhaps having trouble sleeping after binge watching Thanksgiving Day football, streaming your brains out 24/7 and/or working remotely?

If so, consider fasting.

Research suggests that the myriad of physiological body clocks that regulate bodily functions can get out of whack and fasting may be able to help reboot them back into sync, so improving bodily functions, overall health as well as perhaps even help enhance the quality of life over the long haul.

Granted, the long Thanksgiving Holiday weekend probably does not make for an ideal time for fasting.

At the same time, one can readily imagine how ancient rituals which include fasting as a part of the process may have been onto something.
