Massachusetts unemployment rate down to 11.3% for August care of the biggest drop in the state’s unemployment rate in the country.

While still a long way from returning to pre-COVID-19 pandemic levels, a thirty percent drop in the state’s unemployment rate in but a month’s time is still a huge step in the right direction.

The drop was also so considerable that Massachusetts no longer has the highest unemployment rate in the country – Nevada tops the list with a 13.2% unemployment rate and is followed closely by Rhode Island at 12.8%.
