Working overtime

Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap: the mean streets of the Q continue to become even meaner.

Yet another pedestrian was killed this past week and so making for the fourth such fatality in less than two months’ time as well as all but assuredly at least leaning on a record breaking year of local pedestrian fatalities.

And yes, the latest pedestrian fatality was yet another senior citizen.

Pinocchio and a “special” friend.
An ill-advised Facebook posting

At the same time, with no word out of the Koch Maladministration posing any plans to address the carnage, one can thus only assume that Mayor Koch’s mouthpiece Pinocchio Walkbacker, the mayor’s brother-in-law Quincy Police Chief Paul The Beav Keenan and/or Director of Traffic, Parking, Alarm and Lighting Chris Cassani must be on vacation or at least yet again out to lunch.

On the other hand, one cannot help but also suspect that perhaps the Koch Machine is instead focusing on working towards Koch with plans to pimp yet another grandiose koched-up Edifice Complex that would ultimately be funded with tax dollars that could instead be used on something actually needed.

After all, when the goal is change the subject away from actually pressing matters, few things work better than yet another photo op on something else that is not all that pressing.

Then again, it appears that this long practiced approach by the Koch Machine may itself soon be hitting the fan.

Glaring case in point, the maladministration’s touting a but medical offices building in Quincy Center as a substitute of a sort for the impending closure of emergency healthcare services still offered at the site of the former Quincy Medical Center, now the proposed medical office building also looks to be DOA or at least MIA.

And speaking of hitting the fan, Quincy Quarry’s ever growing legions of loyal readers should expect that a boatload of bovine byproduct hitting the fan in coming weeks.  The reason: an especially dumb set of municipal malpractices have devolved into malfeasance during efforts to endeavor to cover up underlying Incompetencies and probably worse, if not a whole lot worse.

Then again, what else should one expect from the Koch Maladministration.
