Retail sale of Marijuana in Maine to begin on October 9.

On October 9, Maine will commence allowing the retail sale of recreational marijuana.
Mainers voted in 2016 to legalize marijuana for recreational use for those 21 and older, but the process has moved forward in fits and starts. On the other hand, the state already has a long ongoing medicinal marijuana sales program.
Among other reasons, the opening of legal pot shops has been delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic; however, at this point legally buying the makings of a fatty for strictly recreational use looks to finally be happening in Maine just in time for a fall colors road trip!
