With many of us streaming our brains out, from the Washington Post comes a critical review of reality television dating shows.

Sometimes, these series are surprisingly hopeful, but mostly they are disturbing.

Some series promote fairy tale grade endings.

And others look to mostly be about wanting to get lucky.

A key problem is where is the line between watching for camp entertainment versus why people bother watching in the first place?

Accordingly, this Washington Post piece is a thoughtful piece worth reading, especially as compared to watching or streaming at least 95% if the available video even if at times it is as scary as watching a better horror movie all by oneself on a dark and stormy night.
