Clock ticking down on TikTok?
President Donald Trump has escalated his ongoing technology war with China.
In this latest round of this ongoing war, President Trump has moved to force the popular China-developed and primarily Chinese-owned social media app TikTok sell off its United States operations as well as those in a few other national markets over concerns that TikTok’s software is rife with digital Trojan horses.
To facilitate President Trump’s demand that TIkTock agree to do a deal, Microsoft has offered to buy out the domestic operations of the popular TikTok social media platform as well as its WeChat multi-purpose messaging, social media and mobile payment application.
In turn, Quincy Quarry views Microsoft as a less problematic buyer than Facebook, Google and most especially Amazon.
As this is a complicated matter at a time fraught with complicated food fights in Washington DC and elsewhere, Quincy Quarry strongly recommends reviewing this and other major national media’s coverage and commentary.
