After weeks of the Weekly Fishwrap promising to soon be unleashing yet another hard-hitting exposé of the Koch Maladministration only to have the Quarry’s newsroom keep missing publishing deadlines, the threat of cutting off the tab on deliveries of adult libations to working remotely Quarry newshounds was quickly meet with the provision of a long internally expected publication ready exposé.

The exposé: that the City of Quincy’s public buildings maintenance department’s three office buildings are rundown eyesores as well as arguably worthy of citation as blighting their respective neighborhoods if they were privately-owned.

Then again, given that the City of Quincy Public Buildings Department is headed by a since childhood bff of the mayor, such a sorry state of shoddy maintenance was ultimately only to be expected.

And on the COVID-19 front locally, two more local restaurants were ordered closed for deep cleanings. 

That and a said to be local cop and firefighter hangout is at the top of the list for citations for failing to abide by COVID-19 mitigation best practices.

At the same time, it is only reasonable to assume that a closing order probably won’t issued.

Additionally, the number of local active COVID-19 cases continues to creep upwards.

Further, word on the ever-increasingly dangerous streets of Quincy from locals is critical of the Koch Maladministration’s response to the virus.

Very critical, especially as regards the mayor’s near daily weekday YouTube photo op performances even if they are about the only new content available for streaming.

And speaking of the ever-increasingly mean streets of the Q, there was a late night shooting inside of the Quincy’s first new hotel to open in the Q since the Quincy Marriott Hotel opened twenty years ago.

Granted, while the victim was only kneecapped, capped by a gat is still popped by a gat.

On the other hand, so far the police have no idea who capped the knee of the victim.
