Quincy Mayor Thomas Koch already in violation of Governor Charlie Baker’s reopening plan?

Is Quincy the first municipality to run afoul of Governor Baker’s plan to carefully reopen the Commonwealth?

Following today’s hour-long briefing lead by Governor Baker to roll out his plan and given Quincy Quarry’s preliminary review of the plan, it would appear so.

Specifically, the governor’s plan rolled out today specifically proscribes the sharing of any sporting equipment by those using recreational facilities whereas Mayor Koch announced on Friday that as of today the City would be reopening public tennis courts for use by reservation.

Unclear at this point, however, is Mayor Koch going COVID-19 denier rogue or if he may not have been provided with an e-copy of the memo given the Koch Maladministration’s trying to pin all of the blame on the state over the failure to keep Wollaston Beach closed to public access over the weekend of the May 9th and 10th in the wake of the City of Quincy failing to duly help facilitate keeping the beach closed to the public.

Quincy Quarry considered calling Quincy’s City Hall for clarification, but figured why bother.
