Brad Pitt fulfills Anthony Fauci’s wish by playing him on Saturday Night Live At Home.
Academy Award winner Brad Pitt opened the second episode of Saturday Night Live At Home in character as National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Dr. Anthony Fauci and who in recent weeks has emerged as America’s most trusted scientific mind during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The top-secret cameo fulfilled the wishes of the real Dr. Fauci, who told CNN earlier this month that Pitt would be his first choice to play him on SNL.
Then again, Pitt taking on the role of Dr. Fauci was only appropriate casting considering the widely-circulated Change.org petition nominating Fauci as People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive and a title that Pitt has held twice in the past 35 years.
In turn, Pitt opened up his monologue portraying Dr. Fauci’s by thanking “… all the older women in America who have sent me supportive, inspiring and sometimes graphic e-mails” and then segued into addressing recent events.
Needless to say, President Donald Trump all but assuredly would not be amused by the monologue even if we were.
Not amused whatsoever.
