Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch wants to reallocate a half a million dollars in unspent snow removal money and now snow is forecast.
In the wake of a winter that inflicted very little snow upon the Greater Boston area, today – the first full day of spring, Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch has called for a Special City Council Meeting this afternoon that will not be open to attendance by the public in person.
UPDATE: Two Snowstorms on the way for parts of New England
The reason for the special council meeting is to seek the all but invariably accommodating city council’s approval to tap a half a million dollar in said to be unspent budgeted funding for snow removal this fiscal year for yet to be detailed Coronavirus-related spending.
Stated good intentions for the reallocation of the funds notwithstanding, as one could only reasonably expect, the possibility of a plowable snow event is currently in the forecast for perhaps part of the Greater Boston area this coming Tuesday.
I wonder if Quincy College’s healthcare programs have supplies and equipment that could be donated or utilized by facilities in need?
