A man who allegedly broke into a car appeared shocked as he realized he was being recorded by a motion-activated dashcam.

Car prowler’s startled face captured by dashcam.
A Beaverton, Oregon resident apparently suffered an overnight car break-in.
Fortunately for the car owner, the assumed prowler was caught on video care of a dashcam security feature.
“Nothing was missing, but you could see someone had gone through my car,” said the car owner. “First thing I did was look at my notifications. I went – I got a picture of the guy that broke into my car.”
The owner then reached out to the police and then handed over the video.
The receiving officer noted that “(w)e don’t normally get these kinds of criminals on camera.”
In the meanwhile, the car owner’s initial anger has given way to amusement.
“I just kept playing back the video because it was just so funny.”
No word, however, if some of the amusement is care of the dashcam’s manufacturer reaching out with an attractive testimonial ad offer.
