Quincy Center Messina property to cost taxpayers over ten million dollars.
Between leases, land takings and improvements, the Messina property that city councilors voted to take via eminent domain Monday night is on track to cost taxpayers more than $10 million in total spendings over the past decade.
How bad is it? Even the Patriot Ledger is critical of this latest wicked expensive Koch Maladministration misstep.
Even so, a comment posted to the Ledger’s coverage by a knowledgeable local gadfly is both even more granular as well as pervasively as to the problems with this latest koched-up expensive mess made by the Koch Maladministration as it pursues Mayor Koch’s edifice complex to see “A New Quincy Center” perhaps sorta/kinda finally happen.
In particularly, how Mayor Koch’s grandiose plans for “A New Quincy Center” are ever-increasingly looking to become a net drain on the City of Quincy’s annual budget and thus local taxpayers over the course of several decades yet to come as costs variously kicked down the road come home to roost and new local tax revenue doesn’t cover the nut.

This clearly illustrates “the wisdom of Koch.” On, and on, and on, and on, and . . .
