Fall River Mayor Jasiel Correia II loses the lead attorney on his criminal defense team.
There was no reason provided the attorney’s stepping aside.
Mayor Correia is facing federal charges on his purported software venture.
Correia still has another attorney on his defense team, an attorney who represented his opponent in a previous scandalous dispute.
Jasiel is also under fire financially in the wake of his purported free-spending ways.
Additionally, previous reports indicate that he has been slapped with eviction and the twenty-six-year-old mayor has apparently done what many financially over-extended millennials have done: moved back in with his parents.
Correia is scheduled to appear in federal court in Boston tomorrow.
Additionally, he is facing a recall election petition in Fall River.
Accordingly, count on Quincy Quarry to continue to follow this still-developing story and report back as might be appropriate while it also waits patiently for comparable local criminal indictments to finally be filed.
