– News about elsewhere from Quincy Quarry News with commentary added.
Arizona man accidentally shoots himself in the groin while shopping in the meat department at a Walmart.
Without any possible doubt likely possible, one cannot help but view this unfortunate event as all but assuredly the all time quintessential People of Walmart moment.
UPDATE: Adult male accidentally shot himself in the groin area inside the Walmart Watson & Yuma. Being transported to hospital. No other injuries.

That and how while Quincy Quarry fully appreciates the existence of existence of the Second Amendment, it is probably rare in its also accepting of how rights come with both responsibilities and consequences.

Good thing he was armed — in case a bad guy decided to attack him.
Licensed gun owners learn and follow proper firearm safety rules. The guy must have been playing with his gun in his pocket. This isn’t a 2nd Amendment issue; it’s a Darwin issue. I suspect if his gun wasn’t in his pocket, he’d still have his hand in there and that tweet would be about quite a different incident.
Licensed gun owners often have to review the proper firearm safety rules and then pass a test in certain permitting venues. Then follow them, however, is not necessarily as automatic as a semi-automatic.
In any event, it would appear that in this instance foundling his gun may have taken out his other “gun”…
Ah, I missed the part about his being or not being licensed. However, I don’t believe a license is required in Arizona.
