New Quincy sidewalk disses the disabled.

While recently out and about on the increasing mean and soon to be wicked cold cold streets of Quincy looking for news, Quincy Quarry News personnel happened upon a sidewalk replacement project and thus one of the traditional local traditions to endeavor to grift favor among local property owners in advance of whacking them with yet anther a property tax bill increase.

In turn, while the work appears to have been adequately completed, the project had a fatal flaw: the replacement work centered on a corner of a busier neighborhood intersection but did not include an Americans With Disabilities Act-compliant curb cut.

Quincy Quincy News considered reaching out to the City of Quincy’s Disabled Commission, however, it has not met in a very long time as well as probably now one actually knows if anyone is still on the commission.
