Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort found guilty on eight of eighteen counts.
The judge declared a mistrial on the ten other counts the jury could not reach aggreement on them.
Even so, Manafort is now looking at a sentence in the range of eight to ten years or thereabouts on the eight guilty verdicts with another trial impending as soon as next month.
The jury’s verdicts were part of a stunning one-two punch of bad news for the White House yesterday, coming as the president’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, was pleading guilty in New York as part of a separate deal with prosecutors.
The verdict raised immediate questions of whether the president would seek to pardon Manafort, the lone American charged by Mueller to opt for trial instead of cooperate.

That and expectations of an epic Tweet storm out of the White House.
