For starters, earlier this week the masonry facade of a Wollaston nail shop broke and then fell onto both the sidewalk and Hancock Street during the latter half of the morning commute.
In turn, this broken nail shop then gave rise to imposing lane closures on Hancock Street so as to facilitate cleaning up the mess and making temporary repairs.
Fortunately, local schools are currently on summer vacay as well as that one can only assume that local mani/pedi demand is more than sufficiently covered by local providers.

And on another front, the recent loss of bike sharing for locals given the implosive of ofo’s bike sharing service last month has been filled by the arrival of Lime bikes to the Q, albeit most likely only to but around the same level of probably revenue inadequate use by locals for the new vendor to make a go of it.
Factors may include that while parking in Quincy continues to be a nightmare, so too are its streets when it comes to cyclists daring to use them.
Plus, with MBTA service suffering from all manner of failures during the recent as well as still ongoing heatwave, there is not much motivation for anyone to rent a bike share bike to ride to a Red Line station.

There is, however, some good news as well as regionally so: Metro Boston rents have basically stayed flat as compared to a year ago.
Then again, the bad yang to this good ying is what will happen to rental rates for all of recent newly built local apartments as well as the thousands more variously in the works?
