Democrats’ advantage in midterm election support appears to be shrinking per latest polling.
Unlike normal people, few things excite Quincy Quarry’s wonks on its political desk more than polling data.
And the latest polling data suggest that the gap among registered voters is tightening as President Trump’s low approval ratings inches up.
In particular, gun policy could be a wild card in the 2018 House of Representatives elections.
Registered Democrats view new gun control as very important.
Conversely, Republicans are slightly more concerned about enhanced gun control.
Given a thus near offsetting push on guns, the real question ultimately boils down to what will be the turnout rates by both parties’ registered voters.
On the other hand, who only knows what may come of Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller’s Russian probe or what all may come out about the concurrent investigation of President Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen’s efforts to “fix” things as regards extramarital probings by senior Republicans.
That and Quincy Quarry isn’t the only one monitoring Special Prosecutor Mueller’s probings deep into hindquarters of Team Trump.
