Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap: Quincy bombed by a bombogensis blizzard.
In the wake of the White Christmas Day white out, a moisture-laden storm then rolled up the East Coast on its way to bomb Quincy.
And bomb it did.
The Northeast had already been suffering a multiple records breaking polar vortex cold front for over a week and this cold front made this blizzard even more of a massive snow event.
The only good news is that snow turned out to be much fluffier and thus easier to shovel than the wet snow originally expected.
And as for the only to be expected concurrent bad news, the fluffier total snowfall was also deeper than expected
And as is traditional, grocery stores inventories were all but wiped.
In particularly, bread, eggs and milk so as to make the region’s traditional storm meal of French Toast and other such storm staples were all but nowhere to be seen.
On the bright side, given a major storm rolling into the Q, many City Hall workers are looking at enjoying an even further shortening of an already holiday-shortened workweek.
Local residents with school age children, however, are now facing School Snow Days.
That and probably also Snow Daze hitting the fan after their children had (finally, ed.) returned to school following Christmas vacation earlier this week.
Major snow event notwithstanding, Quincy Quarry hitched up its sled dog news hounds to its one of a kind news sled to cover the breaking badly bad news© that continues to hammer the Q as well as without any apparent end in sight anytime soon.
After all, when it comes to covering the Q, Quincy Quarry does so in its own inimitable as well as unique ways.
