Oft-bitten State Representative Paul Heroux to face off against Attleboro Mayor Kevin Dumas in November.
Mayor Kevin Dumas came in second for the first time in his political career at the hands of State Rep. Paul Heroux Tuesday as a field of three winnowed down to two finalist after yesterday’s primary.
As Quincy Quarry’s ever growing legions of loyal readers will recall, the Quarry recently ran a story on how challenger Heroux was bitten by a dog while he was out door-knocking for votes last weekend.
That and how this was far from the first time that Heroux has been bitten by a dog while out door-knocking for support.
At this point, however, Quincy Quarry has not been able to discern if perhaps Heroux benefited from his latest biting by a dog, be it sympathy or merely from his so receiving some public awareness of his campaign.
After all, the old adage is that there is (rarely, ed.) no such thing as bad press.
At the same time, Quincy Quarry can only properly note that dogs are all but invariably better judges of humans than other humans.
Way better.
Regardless, count on Quincy Quarry to follow this election and report if a seventh bite turns out to be either the charm or fatal.

I brought my dog Molly to Paul Heroux’s cookout and she was on her back getting a belly rub by him. So I guess that means Paul Heroux is dog-approved.
Maybe let’s stick to political facts rather than grasping desperately for something. It’s not classy and isn’t helping your case.
Kate,
With all due respect, the ever-growing legions of loyal Quincy Quarry would surely beg to disagree. That and how you have no sense of snark. Even so, Quincy Quarry respects your right of Free Speech.
Hmmm. Six dog bites in one election cycle? Longtime local candidates knock on doors for every election and have never had a problem. Paul, however, has been bit six times. Pics of him smiling in the ER holding up a bloody sock too. Looks like a lot of drama.
