Quincy Park tagged as well as a likely campsite.

While out on the prowl looking for breaking news on the increasingly mean streets of Quincy several weeks ago, intrepid Quincy Quarry News personnel spotted graffiti at Upper Town Brook Park on Mechanic Street and Revere Road in Quincy Center.

Rather than report on this vandalism at that time, Quincy Quarry opted to uphold its tradition of balanced and fair coverage by allowing a few weeks to pass to see if the City of Quincy would address the problem.

As expected, however, the City of Quincy failed to address the vandalism.

In turn, Quincy Quarry assigned news personnel to check out the vandalized scene and not only was even more tagging found, indications of possible overnight camping in this park were also found.

Hints of camping included finding a manner of clothing box one normally uses to store clothes under a bed or perhaps in the attic during the apparel’s off season.

Other hints including the smells one finds when no bathroom facilities are readily available.

Quincy Quarry considered reaching out to City Hall for comment, but saw no point so ending up left interminably on hold.

As such, the Quarry will instead continue to monitor this particular vandalized and likely camping site for further developments to then perhaps report at some point in the future.
