– News about Quincy from Quincy Quarry News.
Abigail, John Quincy and John Adams are missing!
While out prowling the ever-increasingly mean streets of Quincy Center looking for news, Quincy News personnel who drew the short straw to cover the long Fourth of July weekend so happened upon finding Quincy’s much beloved Adams family missing.
With City Hall closed up tighter than someone facing a federal subpoena over the extended holiday weekend, Quincy Quarry was unable to reach City Hall spokesmodel Pinocchio Walkbacker for comment.
Similarly, with the Quincy Police Department already on edge given expectations of the usual Fourth of July crimes and misdemeanors, the Quarry saw no point in filing missing statues reports.
Even so, one can only properly worry that Abigail, John Quincy and John could be facing meltdowns for recycling and replacement with new statutes.
After all, such was essentially the case with the original memorial bricks which once upon a time graced the entrance way to the glass City Hall Annex, only to be expensively replaced with new engraved bricks because apparently the old ones’ color clashed with the design plans for the upwards of eventually thirty million dollar Kim Jung Koch Plaza.
In any event, expect Quincy Quarry to continue to follow this potential breaking badly bad news story and report back as might be appropriate.
Maybe the City auctioned them off to pay for legal fees because they have many pending lawsuits.
Or perhaps the Adams family could not afford to continue to live in Quincy and pay to stay like the many elderly home owners of Quincy on a fixed income who call the mayor’s office each time they are hit with another big property tax increases, only to be told to “sell your house and move if you can not afford to live in Quincy.”
