– News about Quincy covered by Quincy Quarry News
Quincy water main blows.
Is it time to boil your tap water?
For the second time in less than a month, the skies over Quincy were full of newscopters covering the top story of the day.
The reason this time for full force media air force coverage over the Q is a broken water main in the middle of Newport Street near the Adams Historical site.
The break has yet to be contained and water is thus flooding everywhere.
Even more problematic, the water main blew during the back end of the evening commute and so tied up traffic even more so than usual in the Q.
For video from the scene, see it here.
And for some snarky comments about the broken water main, read some hosted by Quincy Quarry’s media brethren at Fox 25 here.
As this water main breaking story is a breaking story, expect updates in Quincy Quarry if and as they might all but assuredly be warranted.
In the meanwhile, Quincy Quarry is working the story about a rumor that Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch has heroically offered to sit on the break in the hope of stopping it until such time as the Department of Public Works might be able to shut off what is a massive water leak.
Thar she blows!! Quincy needed a good douche …
DPW could not get to Yellowstone on Newport. Its staff is on suspension, its truck is in the shop from hitting a pothole “wink wink” at 2am and the mayor ate his homework.
Thursday — 4/13/2017 — 10:27 AM — The goddamn helicopters are out again. This time over Quincy Center. Anyone know why?
