Quincy Center sodding continues on Thanksgiving Day.
In an arguably mad dash to endeavor to see things made ready in front of City Hall for the start of the holiday season, Department of Park and Forestry workers were out first thing in the morning on Thanksgiving Day endeavoring to make things ready to stage the annual holiday photo ops in front of Quincy City Hall.
If only such alacrity as well as attention had been made as regards the various construction projects, they might have been completed a year earlier and as per their respective original schedules.
Regardless, it has been clear in recent days that the Koch Maladministration in City Hall has pulled out all the stops as well as authorized whatever extra taxpayer-funded expenses are necessary to see that the at least third temporary sodding of the open space in front of City Hall is sufficiently completed in time for the official start of holiday activities on Black Friday.
So what, apparently, for the fact that partying on freshly laid sod will only sod up the sod.
In any event, per a quick call to Quincy Quarry’s contacts at the North Pole, the Quarry was advised on the down low that yet again this year Koch Maladministration officials should yet again expect lumps of coal in their stockings when Santa Claus comes to town.
A key reason: someone who also has a big belly that shakes like a bowl full of jelly has been a bad boy yet again this year.
