Nixon on Cruz’s future in the wake of adultery allegations.
At least social media is all a twitter over the National Enquirer’s cover story exposé alleging that Texas US Senator and GOP presidential nomination challenger Ted Cruz has engaged in a handful extramarital relations.
Rather than addressing the morality angles, @dick_nixon offers his thoughts as regards Cruz’s inability to lie, much less do so effectively.
While not being to lie convincing is not necessarily necessary to be successful politician, however admittedly useful, being able to lie convincingly is necessary to be a successful cheater.
As for Quincy Quarry’s view, while straying politicians are nothing new under the sun, it is still having trouble imaging Cruz as a ladies man given his looks and but average-sized hands.
Then again, Lyndon Johnson – another one-time Texas senator and later President – was said to have claimed that he got even more action that did well-known to be presidential philanderer extraordinaire President John F. Kennedy and thus anything is possible, however much otherwise improbable.
On the other hand, barring a currently imaginable explanation and then pulling off an effective recovery, it is hard to not suspect that Cruz has both jumped the shark as well as is looking to soon be shark bait.
And on a related note, one cannot help but assume that there will be some blowback or at least collateral damage inflicted upon the Clinton campaign over the alleged cruising around by Cruz.
