Washington DC grinds to a halt over but an inch of snowfall.
With a near record snow fall forecast to hit over the next day or two, one can only assume that things will only become even less functional than they have long been in the nation’s capital regardless of the weather or time of year.

Plans are under consideration to shut governmental operations down to the bare minimum given the impending storm.
Given that no one really noticed much of a difference during previous government shutdowns over political game playing, one can safely assume that nothing much will be all that different this time around either as far as things go outside of DC.
In the meanwhile, local residents are acting little different than Metro Boston residents do under similarly circumstances, ranging from wiping out grocery store inventories of bread and milk  to providing the level of discourtesy exhibited by Masshole drivers.
