Quincy Mayor Caught Shoveling?

Quincy Mayor Thomas Koch caught shoveling?
No, seriously.  Quincy Quarry is nothing if not fair and thus must duly report that the sidewalk in front of the mayor’s house has finally been cleared.
Granted, it takes a close look at the Quarry’s photographic proof, but cleared it is – along with a better than average clearing of snow on the street on his block than most of the goat paths that pass for streets in Quincy during this winter with no obvious end in sight.

Whether – or not – he did the shoveling or if perhaps his sons instead did so during their recent run of School Snow Daze and school vacation days is unknown.
However, considering the considerable photo op opportunity possible by showing the mayor shoveling snow instead his usual shoveling inside of City Hall and on his weekly broadcasts on Koch Television, née Quincy Community Access Television, one can thus only reasonably assume that someone other than the mayor did the shoveling to clear his sidewalk.

Even so, this civic duty turnaround from his previous official views about not having to clear residential sidewalks is still remarkable, even for someone dubiously known for changing his positions and allegiances faster as well as more often than does teenage female fashion.
Then again, after taking heat from both Quincy Quarry and the South Shore broadsheet, what else could he do?
Quincy Quarry readers can expect it to continue to cover the whole snow story as only it can and has during this winter without any apparent end in sight.
