Quincy supermarkets report that they are ready for the next storm.
After back to back to back as well as soon back for even more both record and back-breaking snowstorms, local supermarkets have had plenty of experience coping this winter.
Amazingly, most markets reported having more than sufficient supplies of bread and milk on hand, although one reported that its rice selection was a bit thinner than usual.

At the same time, some store managers suspect that the usual panic shoppers have run out of room at home to lay in anymore supplies and that this has, in turn, trimmed pre-storm panic sales volume.
The only shortcomings reported were two.  One, supply trucks were having trouble traveling on the increasing mean goat paths that pass for streets in Quincy these days.  The other: an increasing number of customers are slow to leave their well-cleared parking lots and so have to suffer the local goat paths.

Quincy Quarry considered reaching out to beloved supermarket owner Arthur T. Demoulas for comment on how his stores have managed to cope during this winter without end, but then it realized that he has shown no apparent interest in doing business with the City of Quincy.
As such, the Quarry instead reached out for comment to another supermarket chain that happens to be headquartered in Quincy.  In particular, how it was managing to keep its stores well-cleared of snow.
This chain’s operations director said that it was essential to work with reputable and reliable snow clearing companies while at the same time holding them to the terms of their respective service contract.
Also noted as important was sitting down with each and every one of its contractors before the start of winter so as to develop sound actions plans for each and every store before the snow hit the fan.

When asked if his firm pays by the inch of snowfall as does the City of Quincy, he said yes and no.  Yes, his company pays by the inch; but no, it actually insists on specific performance as noted in his company’s service contracts as well as that it will seek either an order of specific performance or damages if contract specifications are not meet.
“Only a fool would do otherwise when operating something that people depend on for their health and well-being.”
