City Hall was yet again plowed to pavement at dawn today even though City offices were announced as closing up for the day yesterday afternoon per the following City of Quincy Tweet:

On top of the obvious failure for City Hall to see word reach the Department of Public Works and Park & Forestry that they did not have to give City Hall priority treatment this morning, the unidentified twit behind this tweet obviously does not know that locusts are usually dormant pupa safely ensconced inside of hard chrysalis protective shells during the cold time of the year.

Then again, getting the facts right has never been a Koch Maladministration strong point.
Why City Hall surely has an after the fact explanation for this latest snafu, Quincy Quarry sees no point waiting for it to reopen after its latest Snow Day and then spin its latest story.
In any event, one can only hope that six months before locust usually emerge is sufficient time for City Hall to prepare for them.

In the meanwhile, one can only assume that Mayor Thomas P. Koch continues to enjoy a well-plowed street whereas many local residential streets are currently little more than snow covered goat paths – if that that is, they have even yet to have seen their streets plowed.
For example, in Hough’s Neck, where reliable sources report that snowplows did not start to merely but begin plowing major secondary streets until mid afternoon on Sunday.
Expect Quincy Quarry to continue to cover the whole sad snow story as Quincy enters into an Ice Age.
