Quincy Traffic Signs taking hits all over Quincy Center.
In the wake of last week’s middling snow storm, Quincy Quarry News personnel have found a number of traffic signs strewn on the ground.
Well, actually laid low on snow.
Regardless, while prostrate on the ground, these downed traffic signs are thus out of commission and so most likely making the ever-increasingly mean streets of the Q at least a bit even meaner.
Given a close look at these downed signs, one can only assume that many – if not most – were victims of snow plows, especially as most were found lying on the ground before the annual bacchanal better known as Saint Patrick Day.
How, however, so many signs are ending up whacked by snow plows makes little sense as – after all – Quincy has not seen any valid snow emergencies this winter such as the various ones that hit Eastern Massachusetts during the Winter of 2015 and so resulted in a considerable number as well as relatively understandable level of traffic signs ended up whacked.
That and with The Clash of the Ash still closed, this all too frequent source of problems is currently not a problem.
Given the importance of traffic safety, Quincy Quarry considered making the effort of reaching out to the City of Quincy’s new this Fiscal Yard Department of Traffic, Parking, Alarm and Light for comment; however, it was decided that if this department clearly appears to not be in a hurry to at least pick-up the downed traffic safety signs, neither would it be interested to answering any questions from the Quarry.
