Quincy Center shooting defendant hit with $25,000 cash bail at arraignment hearing for one of two defendants arrested Friday after a gunshot was fired during what prosecutors say was a botched attempt to rob a drug dealer in an Quincy Center stairwell rather than the widely assumed to have been yet another bank robbery in the Q. 

 

Needless to say, this new piece of information goes a long way to explain why an innocent basement glass door was the only victim when shots were fired.

Unclear at this time is if the defendant made bail or he if is still in custody.

 

As for the other defendant, he is a minor and thus likely to instead appear in juvenile court.

 

In any event, a Quincy Quarry Citizen on the Street played a crucial role in both providing descriptions of the two alleged perpetrators to police responding to the scene as well as pointing out were the two had attempted to (unsuccessfully, ed.) hide in the Presidents Place parking garage and wherein one was arrested.
