– News from elsewhere spotted by Quincy Quarry News
Quincy Mayor Koch continues to founder in public polls.
In the wake of the Patriot Ledger’s hagiographic as well as absolving paean of an endorsement of embattled Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch for re-election, the Ledger followed up with a second online mayoral poll in a likely at least partially motivated attempt to assess its market reach and impact in the Quincy news marketplace.
The impact of the Ledger’s endorsement, however, appears to have been negligible to the point of arguable insignificance.
So far, and while admittedly early in this poll’s currently ongoing polling, Quincy Quarry found that the early results posted online by the Ledger before any possible Quincy Way voting might be endeavoured to skew this poll were essentially identical to the results of a previous Patriot Ledger poll conducted shortly after last month’s primary election.
The polling numbers for this latest poll also all but mirror those of a recent Quincy Taxpayers Association online poll.
With such a consistent trifecta of results, any questioning of these results would fly in the face of the laws of probability.
These findings would also confirm the fact that campaign lawn signs do not vote.
That and how money cannot always buy an election.

Will anyone in the Q give the ex mayor-to-be a job? After all, all he is really good at doing is spending other people’s money frivolously.
