So much for keeping things secret
An Ashley Madison ® advertisement

Affair seekers website Ashley Madison hacked.
In turn, millions of affair seekers are surely sweating, although not as a result of things steamy.

Steve Rubin, a New York-based attorney specializing in cyber security, said Ashley Madison will almost certainly be sued over the breach, however, whether they win or lose in court may not matter.

“I don’t know how this doesn’t kill them,” said Rubin.
Further, Ashley Madison parent company Avid Life Media’s Vice President for Communications Paul Keable said yesterday that “Avid Life Media has been instructed to take Ashley Madison … offline permanently in all forms, or we will release all customer records, including profiles with all the customers’ secret sexual fantasies and matching credit card transactions, real names and addresses, and employee documents and emails.”

Given the press of publication deadlines, Quincy Quarry did not reach out to City of Quincy Police Chief and surely but coincidentally mayoral brother-in-law Paul “The Beaver” Keenan for his thoughts about this cyber crime.

The lessons of the day: cheaters rarely prosper in the long run as well as that most everything that can be hacked will be hacked.
