Quincy City Hall takes a Snow Day?
While Quincy residents continue to dig out from the Blizzard of 2015 as well as in spite of numerous reports of snowbound strandings of locals in the Hough’s Neck neighborhood, apparently non-essential City Hall workers enjoyed a paid Snow Day holiday.
With the standard set at non-essential, one can thus only properly assume that essentially every City Hall worker is thus likely at home watching Netflix.
No one, however, apparently, told the Department of Public Works or Park & Forestry about the apparent City Hall Snow Day as the main entrance to City Hall was cleared to the pavement Wednesday morning in time for normal business hours at City Hall.
Even more curious, the City Hall VIP parking lots behind City Hall and in front of the Quincy Center MBTA station, respectively, were plowed to the pavement as well as well-salted well before sunrise.
Then again, one can only assume that the long suspected family members and friends of City Hall who park for free in front of the Quincy Center MBTA station and then commute to their non-City jobs are not to be inconvenienced during a campaign fund raising season.
