Weymouth Police told him they would be doing a sobriety test and he told them I’m a state senator.
While exactly a stating of one of Massachusetts hacks’ favorite phrases (“Do you know who I am?”), State Senator Michael Brady (Democrat, Brockton) apparently came close enough to saying as much when he was pulled over in the wee early hours of Saturday morning and subsequently arrested on the suspicion of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, reports the Boston broadsheet.
The broadsheet also reported that the senator was said to have been driving erratically driving as well as further noted that he told officers he was heading home after a work-related event.
In any event, Senator Brady was arraigned Monday in Quincy District Court and pleaded not guilty to operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
