Quincy post snow event recap.

In spite of a number of local broadcast news weather forecasters calling for more snow and then freezing rain, Quincy Quarry News’ meteorological desk nailed the forecast.

No small part of the Quarry’s success was based that the fact that weather forecasters at local TV stations were more than a bit over-exuberant given a so far very low snowfall winter.

Regardless, given the modest snowfall, the City of Quincy was able to do an acceptable job of clearing local streets and even some sidewalks in Quincy Center, although handicapped access was slighted at least here and there as usual.

Plus, a clear and sunny day for most of the day as well as contemporaneous above freezing temperatures helped clear away what turned out to be a but modest snowfall.
