The Boston broadsheet has reported that a senior member of House Speaker Robert DeLeo’s leadership team walked up behind an incoming legislator and grabbed her backside last month during an orientation cocktail hour for newly elected lawmakers.

In turn, Speaker of the House Robert DeLeo’s office says it is “probing” claims of “inappropriate conduct.”

 

Per House rules adopted last year, plausible allegations against House members are (supposed to be) referred to the Special Committee on Professional Conduct and whose secret membership is appointed by the speaker and minority leader.

And as one can only find at least ironic, the latest accused Beason Hill groper was the chair of the House personnel committee at the time of alleged groping.

 

Needless to say, the purported perp has “forcefully denied” the allegations.
