Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap: Past stormy weather in the Q results in a comments storm and other shitschturms happening elsewhere.

While spring has finally shifted into high gear as regards pollen production, things otherwise continue to look to be business as usual in the Q and as Quincy Quarry’s ever-growing legions of loyal readers know all too well to expect.

For example, in what looks will likely be at least Quincy Quarry’s most commented Citizen Photojournalist-based story – and perhaps even the Quarry’s most commented story of any sort ever, a few locals have expressed high dudgeon over Quincy Quarry’s exposing a questionable clean-up done on Cleaner Greener Quincy Day that benefited a city employee given the use taxpayer-funded resources to clean up of his yard.

And on a somewhat related note, Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch’s proposed Fiscal Year 2019 budget is – among innumerable other spending increases – seeking a 250% spending increase on the city’s rat control efforts.

Apparently, last year’s claims of success in addressing the local rat population explosion in the wake of the Winter of 2015 were at least a bit optimistic.

So far, however, Quincy Quarry has not heard any word as to whether – or most likely not – any of the massive increase in rat abatement spending will be used to address any of two-legged rats often seen in and around 1305 Hancock Street.

Rather, Quarry expects that a significant portion of the spending increase is slated to hire a rat czar as – obviously – some City Hall coatholder would love to so score a raise.

Plus, apparently, the City of Quincy’s long ongoing trash czar is – well – overcome by trash and which is a prime source of food for (four-legged, ed.) rats

Either that or he is too busy playing with “Tubby,” his radio-controlled trash can.

Speaking of trash, things trashy continue to give rise to Stormy weather for the White House.

In spite of – or perhaps because of – President Donald J. Trump’s yet again revamping his personal legal defense counsel and as even more questions are arising whereas none of any of the questions appear to have yet been successfully answered or as least have been put to bed.

Things in a drift or just adrift at Quincy College?

And speaking of unanswered questions, there are plenty of questions about the long-term viability of City of Quincy and thus local taxpayers’ backstopped Quincy College in the wake of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts withdrawing the accreditation of the college’s nursing problem.

As the arguable genesis for Quincy College was care of the evolution of long gone Quincy City Hospital’s in-house nursing program into a standalone educational institution, count on Quincy Quarry to continue to monitor this latest breaking badly bad news© to hit the Q and report back as might be appropriate.
