Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap: “Give peace a chance?”

After working on arranging to take a meeting with “Little Rocketman” so as to perhaps secure some semblance of a de-escalation after sixty-eight years featuring some years of all-out war on the Korean Peninsula and fears of war breaking out the rest of the time, United States President Donald Trump is already being touted as a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize.

While surely a bit premature to start preparing for his acceptance speech, Trump’s actually winning the Nobel Peace Prize would surely be no more improbable than anything else that has happened so far during his presidency.

In the meanwhile, however, Stormy weather continues to rain on his hair on a fairly regular basis.

Speaking of tough times, the Massachusetts State Police continues to find itself exposéd over all manner of things as well as that – at minimum – a number of troopers are looking at potentially considerable reductions in their take home pay.

Even worse, however, former State Senate President Stan Rosenberg is now facing a steadily increasing drumbeat calling for his resignation from his senate seat after a Senate Ethics Commission report hit the fan over his estranged husband’s improprieties.

But not to worry for Stan as he is (currently, ed.) not facing any criminal counts that could potentially cost him his state pension benefits.

Unclear, however, is if Stan has a rock-solid pre-nup agreement with his recently indicted spouse.

Locally, things are pretty much just stumbling along with mostly but more of the same old same – a long broken street light pole lying around here, an expensive cheap fix of a traffic light there and so on ad nauseum.

As for pending local events, however, it is still unclear if enough locals will ever figure out that the Koch Maladministration’s plans for “A New Quincy Center are ever-increasingly looking likely to end up costing them plenty.

That or how certain favored developers might conversely make out handsomely.

In any event, count on it that “A New Quincy Center” will be nothing like what’s long been promised for oh so long.  Not even close.

And on the other hand, will word of some purportedly missing money finally hit the fan?

Needless to say, count on Quincy Quarry to do all it can to help see that breaking badly bad news© breaks upon those who do not deserve a break.

After all, only Quincy Quarry has the stones to see that needed coverage of dubious deeds hits the front page.
