The advertising insiders have already put the case study they made for Russia’s election interference  — ProjectMeddle.com — arguing for giving these social media meddlers a Webby Award, the internet advertising award equivalent of the better-known Cleo Awards.

 

What the Russians hackers are accused of doing was not only a unique incursion into American democracy, it was also — at its simplest — a highly effective digital advertising campaign and thus worthy of an award.
