Advertising insiders create campaign to endeavor to see that Russian social media hackers receive credit for their achievements at disrupting the 2016 United States elections.

The advertising insiders have already put the case study they made for Russia’s election interference  — ProjectMeddle.com — arguing for giving these social media meddlers a Webby Award, the internet advertising award equivalent of the better-known Cleo Awards.

 

What the Russians hackers are accused of doing was not only a unique incursion into American democracy, it was also — at its simplest — a highly effective digital advertising campaign and thus worthy of an award.
