Lawrence Mayor Rivera and William Lantigua election rematch in November.

 

Current Mayor Daniel Rivera and former Mayor William Lantigua captured first and second place by wide margins in Tuesday’s preliminary election, burying the six other candidates in the race.

Rivera won 4,850 votes and Lantigua received 3,730 votes.

 

Quincy Quincy is betting that Quincy’s mayor is rooting for Willie come November’s general election.

 

After all, Lantigua returning to office would (probably ed.) move him up a notch in the statewide mayoral rankings.

 

That and take up a lot of various outside enforcement agencies’ time and attention.
