Quincy’s latest apparent bank robbery, Part Two.

As both the dust and gun smoke settles, particulars are becoming available about yesterday’s latest suspected bank robbery in Quincy Center.

In addition to the perilous risks Quincy Quarry photographic personnel taken to photograph a Massachusetts State Police helicopter flying at rooftop heights to monitor the area around the scent of the alleged bank robbery, Quincy Quarry Citizen Journalist spotters further spotted a total of eight helicopters loitering above Quincy Center in near stationary flight to observe the scene of the alleged crime.

One local news helicopter was clearly identified as well as several were viewed to likely be wearing police markings.

And on the ground, well over a dozen marked MBTA Police, Quincy Police and State Police were seen as well as a number of at least suspected unmarked police vehicles.

The alleged robbery commenced at approximately 1:51 PM yesterday afternoon and both it and the heavy police presence tied up Quincy Center for quite some time thereafter.

A shot or shots were fired.

Fortunately, the only victim was a glass door in a burned-out and empty building immediately adjacent to the bank where the alleged robbery transpired.

As near as police can tell, there were only two alleged perpetrators and both were quickly arrested.

One was arrested while trying to avoid arrest by hiding out in a Quincy Center parking garage and the other at a nearby gas station near the Adams Home historical site.

The first suspect was found carrying two weapons and the juvenile is said to have been booked on firearm possession charges, along with all manner of other charges.

Quincy Quarry was able to secure copy of the booking photo mugshot of one of those arrested.  As the other was a minor, no photograph is similarly available.

At least the arrested adult alleged perpetrator is expected to be arraigned in Quincy District Court on Monday.

In the meanwhile, no media appears to have obtained any comments from any senior local public officials.

At this point, the totes in the Quincy Quarry Newsroom have it at three to one that none of them wanted to speak with the public after hoisting a pint or three at Quincy’s annual groanfest of a Saint Patrick’s Day lunch roast.
