Ethics probe sought after Brookfield selectman purchases lot offered to town.
Given a dispute fraught with potential implications for both a previous land purchase by the City of Quincy as well as not just one but at least two proposed property purchases by the City of Quincy, a state Ethics Commission complaint has been filed against the chairman of the Board of Selectmen for buying a parcel of land after it had been offered to the town.
Issues of concerns with this ethics complaint filing include the appearances of both a manner of insider trading as well as benefit arguably derived by the buyer via the expenditure of Town of Brookfield tax revenue to review the title of the property.
That and perhaps taking unfair advantage of a widowed little old lady.
