Wife begs voters to reelect her husband and so keep him out of her hair.

Just when just about everyone who watches television, listens to the radio or partakes in social media has pretty much had her or his fill of campaign ads this campaign season, a candidate for reelection to the Travis County (Texas, ed.) Commissioners Court – basically, a county-wide equivalent of a city council – has produced and posted on YouTube easily the funniest campaign ad in recent memory, if not also ever.

In what is a Cleo Award winning quality ad for both its creativity as well as solid production values, this campaign plug features the long suffering wife of a purportedly really boring but hardworking policy wonk of a husband asking – no BEGGING – that voters reelect her husband and so keep him both busy and out of the house for at least some of the time.

How annoying and boring is he? 

For starters, he doesn’t play golf or have any hobbies. 

That and he isn’t a sports fan.

There isn’t a jury that would convict me …

Instead, he mostly just helps out around the INSIDE of their home and we all know how badly such can play out as far as the lady of the house is concerned.

In any event, with a deadpan delivery that is spot on to what surely many spouses feel, this candidate’s wife delivers big time with some of best eye rolls in the history of eye rolls.
