Quincy the Flying Squirrel is an international surfing phenom!

Surf’s up – although not in the Q.

A very bold Australia grammar school age girl is an international surfing phenomena.

Quincy “The Flying Squirrel” Symonds has enjoyed  considerable press in recent years over her surfing skills and has more recently burst onto the international scene.

Media coverage as well as all manner of videos of this fearless little surfer in action date back a couple of years.

More than a few have mistakenly brushed off her prowess on a surfboard over the years, only to then find themselves out-surfed by this pint-sized surfer.

Quincy already has plans to compete on the international scene when she is old enough to compete.

Expect her to be a fearless competitor as she is already fearless when it comes to facing big waves.

More importantly, Quincy has already overcome a major congenital anomaly that has left her dependent on a likely lifelong daily medication regimen.

As such, what’s a big wave to this young surfer?

Win, loss or just keep surfing to surf, her coach Anthony Pope said, “I feel like a better person just knowing Quincy.”
