– News about Quincy MA from Quincy Quarry News
Quincy High School long suspect parcourse is still but little more than half-sodded.
This interminably long running late project shows no obvious signs of completion anytime soon, much less done in time for the start of a new school year this week.
Quincy Park & Forestry Executive Chris Cassani said last fall that “new sod should be laid at the site by the end of September.  He said the project – to include a new stone wall, benches and parking spaces – should be mostly finished and open to the public in November.”

In fairness to Mr. Cassani, he did not specify in November of what calendar year.
At the same time, the variously delayed demolition of the old Y building across the street is conversely relatively close to complete.
The Y demo is not only also looking likely to mostly completed before the start of the upcoming school year, this demo it only ran a couple of months later than its projected completion date of mid-summer of this summer.
In turn, such works out as a modest delay as would rank as less late finishing up than the falling Koch Maladministration projects.  For example: the Quincy High parcourse featured in the Quarry story, the Faxon track, the Koch Stadium and parking complex next to North Quincy High and the old City Hall restoration project – even after accounting for its devastating fire last fall – and the renovation of Coddington Hall.

An ill-advised Facebook posting by Koch spokesmodel Backwalker

Quincy Quarry considered reaching out Koch Maladministration spokesmodel Pinocchio Walkbacker for comment, but then did not bother as he is surely tied up trying to figure out a way to try to spin his rotund little liege lord away from the sure to be metastasizing as well as upcoming FlynnFlamGate arraignment.
That and spending most of his time outside of his official workday hanging around outside of the Koch election campaign headquarters and so further polluting this neighborhood.
Additionally, as the Quarry has long as well as repeatedly covered this story, it will thus limit its comments at this time and instead suggest that readers review prior Quincy Quarry Related Story coverage listed below.
After all, even the Quarry has it limits when it comes to sodding even the most deserving of sods.
