– News about Quincy MA from Quincy Quarry News
Quincy City Hall’s perfectly plowed parking lots and cleared access ways record continues their unbroken streak after this past Thursday powered sugar light dusting of snow upon the Q.
At the time, however, many residential neighborhoods around town continue to suffer roads better viewed as snow-lined goat paths or perhaps bobsled courses.
That and the Koch Maladministration continues to be on track to spend at $9 million on snow removal efforts, roughly 5 times the City’s Fiscal Year 2015 budget figure.
At the same time, the feared $9 million figure is before consideration of the suspected upwards of at least mid-6 figure in damage done during snow plowing and removal efforts.

Regardless of the as yet unknown pending damage costs total figure, the less than obvious effect on many residential side streets in the wake of unprecedented and already record setting spending is perhaps best understood given how well-cleared certain streets where surely but coincidentally at least occasionally happen to be streets where city officials or other City Hall-connected parties reside.
In any event, the expected five times budget figure spending is substantially more than the so far reported but two to three times budget figures spending by surrounding communities no matter how the Koch Maladministration tries to spin it.
Quincy Quarry will continue to monitor both the unprecedented plowing record at City Hall as well as City Hall’s unprecedented spending on snow clearing.
