Twenty-one Troopers Implicated in Massachusetts State Police Overtime Scandal.

 

Yet another scandal has hit the scandal-plagued Massachusetts State Police.

 

Massachusetts State Police announced on Tuesday that the results of an internal audit into overtime payroll records found discrepancies involving twenty-one troopers.

Concerns ranged from one overtime payroll anomaly for one trooper to a reported one hundred anomalies involving another trooper.

 

Most of the officers are facing status hearings in the coming days and a wide range of sanctions are possible.

 

Of even greater concerns, however, the audit only covered payroll records for 2016 at one of the State Police’s seven troops. 

 

That and how further audits should be expected.
