While Quincy School Committee meetings are currently on summer vacation, one can only conversely suspect that when meetings do eventually resume that arguably at least racially oblivious City of Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch and thus also the Quincy School Committee Chair will continue to press for North Quincy High – the site of his highest level of matriculated level of formal education – to refuse to accede to the growing drumbeat to change both North Quincy High’s team name and especially its variously ethnically insensitive mascot.
