A slow-motion Democratic train wreck?

The writer Jorge Luis Borges once likened the United Kingdom/Argentina war over the Falkland Islands to two bald men fighting over a comb. 

“It would also serve as an apt forecast of a Bloomberg-Sanders showdown.” 

From Great Britain’s now Japanese-owned Financial Times comes a thoughtful cautionary essay about the 2020 United States Democratic presidential primary race.

Granted, American do not take kindly to foreign intrusions upon American elections, but the Financial Times is doing no such thing. 

Rather, the Financial Times is from at distance and with no dog in the fight offering its compelling thoughts on what many fear: the impeding Democratic presidential primary Battle Royale between putative front-runner Vermont Senator Bernie and mega billionaire as well as former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg.

After all, if anyone knows about election train wrecks, it is the British given the still ongoing Brexit mess and their also wild-haired political head of state.

Further, with domestic media all too often reduced to mostly talking heads spewing happy yack about the car wrecks and house fires of the day, the American public sure could use some gimlet-eyed, independent, and thoughtful commentary.

Not that any of those blindly loyal to one of the ultimately three key factions are all that open to listening to anyone outside of their respective social media silos.
